Chris flew to England on April 14 to be part of a Kierkegaard conference. He was due home on April 19. However, the volcano in Iceland had other plans! He was one of many stranded travellers in the world, but thankfully he had good friends to stay with in Oxford.
To get him back home, we decided "a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush," and with that, we booked him a ticket on the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship. This is where he worked on the boat.
This is what his hallway looked like.

He docked in Brooklyn on Thursday morning, and got home to us Friday morning.
It was a wild adventure, indeed, and we are so thankful to have welcomed him back home on his 34th birthday!
