The Graduate...

... enjoying his new pipe and a good fiction book.
... donning the new graduation robe.
...with the fam on the night of his graduation from Oxford. We obviously missed the ceremony in Oxford today but tried to make up for it with our own little celebration.

Fun times at the beach...

Sweetie took us all on a fun weekend trip to Fort Walton. We got lucky that Hurricane Ike didn't affect our weather and it was beautiful. We had a wonderful time!

The boys LOVED the beach. In fact, Luke cried when it was time to drive back home.
I recently heard about a book called, "How to raise Geeks." We haven't read the book, but just by looking at the above picture you can see we are well on our way!! :)

A few more beach shots and one with Nanny...

Tired 2 year olds hanging out and watching Elmo together.
The drive home.....
LUKE: "how much longer?" "are we to step 2 of the journey yet?" "do we have to leave the beach?" "I dropped my batman shooter thing----can we stop and find it under the seat?" "if I eat all these pretzels will you throw me another snack?"
CALEB: "STOP TALKING!!!"

Our little soccer champ...

Luke has started playing soccer on a team with 3 4-year olds and 3 5-year olds. The parents of the 5 year olds are somehow a year (at least) wiser than us because somehow, Jay and Chris have ended up as coach and asst. coach! Here's the team getting ready for the game.
Chris gives a pre-game pep talk...
Luke on his way to the goal.....will he score???
This face says it all!
Winning the state championship title in volleyball as a high schooler was great, winning a little JV volleyball tournament as a coach was even better, and seeing my son's face after he scored his first goal was truly way better than both. I embarassed myself cheering but loved every minute of it!!
Way to go, Luke! :)

Sweet little boys....

Are these guys sweet or what???
